What a great time we had! The condo is located in a perfect spot; easy access to either direction, but away from the "maddening crowd". I swam regularly, saw plenty of dolphins, shelled lazily and read/sunned/relaxed/enjoyed all simple pleasures. My two teen boys (16 and 18) also thought the location was perfect. Despite my many offers to provide watersports or more stimulating events to highlight their week, the surroundings themselves were enough to keep them quite happy...who would've thunk it?? This was my first rent-a-condo-via-internet experience, and it was extremely satisfying. Everything was as promised, and your integrity is appreciated as much as the opportunity to have warmed up in FMB! By the way, that mattress in the master bedroom? Wow! I haven't slept that comfortably in years, and living near the ocean as I do up here, I know it wasn't just the salt air! What was it? Many thanks and I hope to have the opportunity to do it again next year.....

We just had to drop you a line to thank you for all of your help during our recent vacation. It could not have been nicer...it is an absolutely beautiful unit and you were wonderful to work with. We had a wonderful time and we loved watching the boats passing by, the dolphins surfacing and swimming with their fin just out of the water, the wonderful migrating birds, the fantastic pool and great restaurant "Flippers". By the way, we never expected Flippers to be of the quality it was (our opinion was based only by the pricing)....we had many wonderful meals there and it was great to have it so close! That was our first trip to Southwest Florida...but it will not be our last.

We just got back from our Florida vacation and have nothing but good words for your aparment unit at Carlos Point Condos. We stayed in 515 "Southern Comfort", which lived up to its name in every sense of the word. It was DARLING! Our family was very happy and comfortable there. The beach was so nice and we enjoyed our shell-walks immensely. This was a great base of operations for other area attractions and a very peaceful rretreat from the tourist scene at the end of those long days, with all the comforts of home. I especially liked the panorama view, with water front in all directions. We hope we can come back some day.

are back from a GREAT week at your condo and I wanted to thank you for a wonderful time! We were very pleased with the location and cleanliness of your condo and all the help you gave us with directions and other information. Your accommodations were perfect for us! We really enjoyed the beach and appreciated how CLEAN it was as compared to the north end of the island beach. The weather was absolutely beautiful - mid to high 80's all week and just a couple quick showers that never interfered with our plans. We loved being so close to Lover's Key - great shelling and we all had a blast in the waves! Your guest book with all the recommendations was a very nice touch... we followed the advice for restaurants and were never disappointed! You are a great hostess! We were delighted with the accommodations and would be happy to help others make the decision to stay there. One other thing I might add - even my daughter, who is 21 and 2 sons who are 15 and 18 preferred the quiet peacefulness of your beach to the craziness of the north end - which was fun to visit, but you wouldn't want to stay there! Thanks again for making us feel right at home in your beautiful condo!

We had contacted someone else with a unit in your complex who told us the rate was reduced that week in June because of a cancellation. If not for your honesty, we may have rented it and been VERY disappointed when we found out the pool was not available. I don't care much for swimming in the ocean, so a pool is a MUST for me. We will definitely rent your unit for that week in July.

The condo really fit our needs, and served us very well. You have done a beautiful job in decorating it and making it a warm place to be. We stayed mostly in the Fort Myers Beach area, but did make it to the Everglades, Captiva Island and Sanibel. We were treated to a great week of sunny and hot weather, with only one or two showers.

We arrived home this afternoon after a terrific and relaxing vacation in your lovely condo. Thanks for the call last Sunday to check on things, and for your assistance in helping our family make some wonderful memories and spend a lot of beautiful time together. We enjoyed the quiet, private beach and spent most of our time just relaxing and watching the boys build sand castles, swim, or discover the beauty of the Gulf. We took short day trips to the Everglades, Naples and Marco Island, and to Sanibel, but found that relaxing at Carlos Pointe was the best. Unfortunately your guest book was full so we could not add our thoughts and reflections to the list of those who have stayed before us. We did enjoy reading other people's comments and, my, you certainly have rented to a lot of Ohioans! The only downside of our trip was that we could not do all that we wanted. I guess that means we will have to visit again sometime.

What a wonderful condo you have! We really enjoyed our stay at your place and all the people we met there were so friendly... that was truly a pleasure! Our favorite time of day was when we got to eat out on the lanai and watch the pelicans dive for food. The kids were so entertained by that, I wish I had one (a pelican) at home. The shelling on the beach was incredible. We were on a quest to find a sand dollar, but no luck... I told the kids maybe next time. The kids loved the picture of the shells on your wall too. Everyday they would come in and check to see which shells they found. They had such a blast that already they are asking us when we can go back to our vacation home (don't I wish it was ours).

I just wanted to send you a quick note about our trip to Florida and our stay at Southern Comfort. We had the most fabulous time. Your place was beautiful and we absolutely loved the beach. It felt like we were at our own private beach for much of the trip. I have to tell you we saw so much wildlife that my boys were just beside themselves. We saw Manatee almost everyday, but one morning it was exciting because my boys and my husband actually swam out to them and swam with them for quite awhile. It was amazing. We also saw dolphin everyday in the pass and one day they actually came right up to the boys in the water to where they could have reached out and touched one that I think was coming to check them out.

We caught hermit crabs, horseshoe crabs, digging clams, shrimp, pipe fish and sea horse in the sea grass with a net. It was just amazing. We saw so many types of birds and loved the nesting sanctuary that was just off the peninsula.

We plan on letting anyone know about your place. It was perfect.

Again, thanks for the great time and chance to rent your condo. We hope to visit again!

Thank you for helping us with the condo accommodations. The condo was very nice, the master bedroom bed was wonderful! My husband liked the sheets and the mattress topper so much he asked me to find out what kind of sheets you had on the bed! We travel a couple of times each year, and this was the BEST bed we have ever experienced on vacation! It was extremely comfortable!
If anyone else we know intends to go to Ft Myers Beach, we will definitely recommend "South Harbor"!!

Dear Alice,

Thank you for returning our damage deposit.

We did enjoy everything about "South Harbor" and it certainly felt like our home away from home. The decor is lovely and the furniture very comfortable. It is a bonus having two bathrooms and the laundry facility just off the kitchen is very handy. I should also mention the walk-in closet is to die for...so much space for storing luggage and hanging clothes!! We are happy that you appreciate our efforts in caring for your condo and thank you for sharing it with us.

We enjoyed breakfast on the lanai every morning and often lunch and dinner as well. The manatee surfaced for us on a fairly regular basis and one day at lunch time there were five "playing" for quite a long time. We were able to get some great pictures of them.

We do hope to be able to do business with you again and will keep your card near the computer.

It has been a few weeks since we returned from Florida, but we wanted to tell you WE LOVED THE Carlos Point condos.... We enjoyed the beach 24/7, and we had the best shelling we have ever had on any of our beach vacations..The condo was extremely clean and perfect for the three of us.So thank you for the help in getting us to our "perfect" place on the beach...
Also, my parents are coming down March 8th for about a week and they were wanting to check out your condos at Carlos Pointe maybe for next year for a couple of months stay.. Just thought I'd get this short note off to you and let you know that everything was just fine for our 5 days in South Harbor . It worked out so well, as most of our friends were there too. My daughter had an awesome, memorable time. We had a big cookout with all the kids down by the pool in that specified corner area with the grills. Some of the kids had their guitars and played for us. Some sang. We just had a really nice time.
Again, I am so grateful that we were able to secure your unit. Thank you so very much. The pool, the facility, everything was perfect.

Dear Alice:

I just wanted to take a few minutes to say thank you for sharing your vacation condo with us. The place was everything we wanted and more. My husband and I are still saying how lucky we were to have found your place.
The boys loved being at the south end of the island away from all the crowds and I loved being able to walk the beach in the mornings without loads of people around.

When we got off the interstate at Bonita Springs I was a little worried about the condo. I have never booked anything over the Internet sight unseen. I truly did not know what to expect. When we walked into the condo we could not believe how wonderful it was. The decor is wonderful and so comfortable. The beds were great. The first thing I did when we got home was to order a memory-foam mattress top. I have never slept so good! Everything in the condo made us feel like we were at home. You are certainly a gracious hostess who thinks of everything.

I am certain you will be hearing from us again in the future. The boys are already talking about next year!!!

Hope 2007 is great for you and your family. Thanks again for making our family vacation everything I wanted it to be.

We loved "Southern Aristocrat"! Awesome view, super clean, beautifully decorated. It was perfect for our family. I really liked the "overlays" on the beds. I could not find a name on them. Do you happen to know what they are called and the brand? The bed was so comfy and so were the pillows, a great touch. Also, thought the clothes hampers were a great idea, kept my kids from putting dirty clothes back into their suitcases with the clean clothes. We had a very restful time. Spent every day at the beach. The sunsets were incredible from the lanai. Got a real kick out of the huge tub and shower. I could go on and on.

WOW - we will be back!!! Everything was PERFECT and just as described (or better!) The location was exquisite. Seriously - as someone that normally stays at Naples, and knows nothing about FMB - your condo is SOOOOOOO well located. Again - the proximity to the shops/restaurants at SM were phenomenal.
We may be looking for 3-19 through 3-16. Planned on Mexico, but, seriously, your trolley system may have changed our minds!!!!

I've been meaning to write to say THANK YOU!!! We had such a wonderful time at the condo and it felt like we were right at home. I was very impressed with the accommodations.... I didn't realize that there would be a washer/dryer on premise.

Each morning the twins would wake-up and I'd hear "beach, beach" through the monitor. They really had a good time swimming and playing in the sand. The condo was absolutely perfect.

I hate to admit this, but this is the first vacation since our honeymoon that I took and left work at home. It was so strange to have time to actually sit and relax while the twins were napping. I often felt lost for something to do while they were napping...no housework, no kids, what to do?!? Much of our time was spent on the lanai relaxing and enjoying such beautiful views.

We loved your condo! ("Southern Comfort") We had a great time. The kids loved the trundle bed and took turns each night to be the one in the middle. Our favorite adventure was Lover's Key State Park. I'm glad we were so close to it. While kayaking there a manitee came right up to our kayak. It was so gentle. We spent a couple of days at the park. The kids were in the pool everyday. That was a bonus!
Anyway, we had a marvelous vacation. We put the key in the mail before we even left the island. So you should get it soon.

Alice, just wanted to say thanks again for renting "Southern Hospitality" to us for the past week. We returned home yesterday, quite unwillingly, I might add!!!! What can I say, it was a wonderful week of relaxation and escape, something we both really needed!!!! The weather was perfect; it rained on us a little from the airport to the island, then cleared up and no more rain until it sprinkled a little the last day, not even enough to wet the parking lot. We already both miss the condo, especially the lanai. Neither of us are morning people, but don't you know that both of us got up early every day to enjoy the gorgeous sunrises and our morning coffee on the lanai.

The shelling was amazing; we got there just a few days after Tropical Storm Fay blew through, and as we had heard---it made for some great shelling. I actually had to go buy a larger suitcase that I could check so we could take home our shells in our carry-ons. :) I hope you don't mind, but I added a small pretty one to your collection on the baker's rack. We had sand dollars, whelks, fighting conchs, you name it---we found it, pretty much. The largest one I found was right after low tide early in the week, but it still had its occupant, so we made pictures of it and threw it back in the ocean. We were also blessed to see the dolphins several times; once they surfaced just off the beach, not 20 feet in front of me. It was wonderful!!!!
The condo was very comfortable, and we both felt right at home there; we are looking forward to coming back again as soon as we can!!!
